Comments and / or explanation:
‘’As Theillard de Chardin thought ''Mass on the world’’ I dreamed of ‘’Eucharist on the world''. The piece of glass represents the bread and the hammered metal represents a gush of wine.
Yet others interpret it differently and see the glass and lace as a symbol of mysticism and the heavy hammered metal as the material world. This cross is a symbol of ‘’going down the path’’, a balance vertically and horizontally: above, the flame of the Pentecost, horizontally all our fellow human beings.''
***** (This is the poem / prayer (vertical) written on the cross)
I walk towards you
In a persistent perception
I shudder to feel without seeing yet
And I recognize the old paths of my steps
On the shores of the other world.

I walk towards you
In a persistent perception
I shudder to feel without seeing yet
And I recognize the old paths of my steps
On the banks of the other world

I shall walk towards you
You charm me you enchant me
And I become absent
I sing of you, I paint you
And here I am deserted

I walk towards you
I hear the heavy chants
Of supplication
Will you be the inaccessible
Without recourse and without joy

I will give up the illusory nothingness
And on an incandescent desert
I will advance candle in hand

I walk towards you
To you, naked in the air and in the
Wind hands empty and damp
With my anguished steps I walk up to you

(Because I love you)
