1973-064

***** (Monique wanted to provide an index card for each of the following 18 paintings (from 1973 - 060 to 1973-077). Her intention was also to provide a ''title'' for each one, which unfortunately was not done. So I chose to regroup them into four ‘’sets'' based on their ''size''. The introductory text is from Monique and is valid for all four ''sets''.

Structure of the series: Analysis in two modes: free and functional all at once.
Foreword + the genealogy study of external influences on personality and defining the particular conditions necessary for the fulfilment of the vision of a bird.
Note + the ''pictures'' of this series are not yet titled individually, my attention so far ***** (1976) has been attentive only on their value as a whole.
They are however preceded or followed, your choice, of a song - foreword.

These pictures are a series of thirty plates executed on paper that I prepared myself.
This is a collection of pictures highlighted by some texts.
The literary illustration is not completed yet.

The refrain of the song that takes the place of ex-libris claims
that: ''Papa, Papa,
Life, life,
is the phoenix
of America.''

The theme revolves around the idea that even a poor little sparrow can see from the air nearly everything that is going on down below ... even without being a great bird of fire.
The allegory reflects the relationship that my analysis of the symbolism found between the bird and consciousness. 1973

***** (This is the song :) (Zema: her dog, Cybèle: her daughter, Moon: her boyfriend.)

SONG - PREFACE

Come, come, give your mouth
Look at me I’m walking the pink line
Of Peel and Ste-Catherine
but you are wrong this is Mirabel

Come, come, give your eye
Look at me, even Zema is flying away
the rumours are not for us

And you will re-find our senses
And you will re-find our sails
And you will re-find our wings

Papa, papa America
will always be
our way of life

Good bye, good bye evolution
You deafen the traffic
I am afraid to break the vision
I hear other fascinations

I probably bring a hermetic cry
I forget the antiseptic speeches
I am a cybernetic flight
the man who carries me away is kinetic

The song of the world spreads
It has always been even without revolution
One was Cybèle and the other was Moon
nothing prevents the source from spurting out.

Come, come give your mouth
do not bring your code, your dictionary
nor your checks or even your car
time is dying for the passers-by

Come, come give your eye
Let us take root from the tip of a finger, a foot
From the ends of the earth, from the end of the field.

And you will re-find our senses
And you will re-find our sails
And you will re-find our wings

Papa, Papa, life, life
is the phoenix
of America.
