...''With the legendary Jansenism and Puritanism of Quebecers what else do you expect? Even when they call themselves ''atheist'', the very idea of art gives them nervous tics: they don’t believe in God, but still fear the judgment of St-Peter, and still asked themselves what in art could be a ‘’sin’’ or not ! ! ! !
For more ''security'', for the past thirty years they content themselves with ‘’Abstract Art''! Ha! ha! ha!
It reminds me of my ''early beginnings'' on Boyer Street, we laugh so much!! ! - With my friends, talking about the ''good people'' who spend their lives painting ''Abstract art''. I invented a nickname to describe them: the-art ''of- people- who-sleep-in-pyjamas’'!!
It may be simple, but when you're young and giggly like I was with my friends!! This expression has made us laugh so often! We even imagine that they had perhaps kept their pyjamas (and why not, maybe a chastity-belt?) under their clothes on the opening evenings of the exposition! ! ! ...
It was so good to be so lighthearted and being ''Artists'', while our parents were tortured and literally made sick by their intellectual and interior confusion about the new values, and everything and everything ... or what Pope John Paul ‘’gently calls'' urging us to understand you:''... those who lived through the social revolution ...''

‘’Respect of Art.
Believe me; the world is deaf, closed.
The world might even die without art at all, but
IT DOES NOT KNOW ...''
